Monster Employment Index: Frankreich
September 2009 Index Highlights:
- The Monster Employment Index France dipped one point in September, whilst year-on-year offerings were down 37 percent.
- Online job opportunities fell sharply in media, manufacturing and administration whilst demand increased for workers in healthcare and hospitality.
- An uptick in offerings was seen in the North while the Mediterranean region continued to show the steepest decline year-on-year.
The Monster Employment Index France’s overall declining trend continued in September with offerings falling one point (one percent). The annual rate of decline has remained largely unchanged for the past five months, suggesting that whilst online job demand is not escalating it is beginning to bottom off and stabilise. This, coupled with reports from the International Monetary Fund that French manufacturing activity has remained the strongest across the Eurozone and that the French economy is returning to growth could be the first signs of recovery.
