Head AI Global Wealth Management

Your role

Are you a thought leader and influencer, equipped to craft the GWM AI strategy and drive this roadmap? Do you have a global footprint in pivoting an organization of comparable complexity? We are looking for a renowned AI expert to transform how UBS works and key responsibilities will be to:

  • plan, prioritize, implement and manage the GWM AI Roadmap, influencing and ensuring alignment within the Agile Delivery Organization and other business stakeholders
  • represent GWM towards external stakeholders and clients, acting as industry-wide thought leader on applying AI in Wealth Management
  • coordinate planning and prioritization of transformation initiatives and value streams across all groups involved
  • remain abreast of best-in-class AI capabilities and key business applications to ensure UBS remains ahead-of-the-curve in its ability to realize value from AI-enabled transformation
  • architect, facilitate and manage strong collaborative change and communication across and between lines of business and key stakeholders across GWM
  • drive analysis, performance measurement, and reporting using a hypothesis led approach to identify value creation and cost savings
  • lead a customer-focused, high performing team that delivers value and evangelizes AI and a transformational mindset across the organization
  • bias towards speed, simplicity and agility in decision-making and action, creating Proofs-of-Concept and Minimum-Viable-Products that can ultimately scale
  • lead the development and implementation of plans and strategies to ensure achievement of benefit realization objectives
  • own and manage relationships with strategic partners and vendors in AI and Advanced Analytics space
  • organize funding, resourcing, and staffing to enable execution
  • communicate overall program status updates to the GWM Leadership Team

Your team

Leading a team of dedicated data scientists, as the Head of AI, you will collaborate with stakeholders across functions to assess transformation initiatives, prioritize high-impact and commercially viable use-cases, and drive delivery of AI/ML-enabled processes that change the way in which UBS Global Wealth Management employees serve their customers and work. You and your team will be responsible for crafting the GWM AI strategy and roadmap to deliver meaningful business value.

Your experience and skills

  • doctorate Degree (PhD) in Engineering or Computer Science
  • extensive experience in data science & analytics, data engineering, and software development within the wealth management industry
  • strong hands-on and foundational experience building and working with AI models, including Gen AI.
  • demonstrated track record of bringing commercial AI models into production and monetizing real use-cases in the financial services industry.
  • demonstrated track record of large-scale transformation using AI models, including a strategic vision and its articulation into a realistically executable roadmap, as well as delivery.
  • experience working with commercial & client-centric, as well as operational and back-end processes and workflows.
  • experience with internal solutions as well as partnerships with third-party solution providers, including vendor management and negotiation.
  • demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple projects/processes across the business within budget, on time, and to meet internal and external satisfaction metrics
  • entrepreneurial, customer-centric and collaborative
